aid and to encourage worthy graduating seniors from Freedom Area High School. In 2015, Freedom Cares lost a very special founding member of our organization, Anna Maria Folmar. To honor this amazing woman, we have re-named this scholarship after her. One scholarship will be given to a student involved in the arts and one to a student involves in the athletics program at Freedom High School. The recipients will be chosen by the scholarship committee based on the essays submitted by the applicants.
The scholarships will be in the amount of no less than $500. The scholarships are applicable to any two or four-year institution of higher learning as well as any accredited two or four-year training institution. They shall be payable to the student for books, supplies or tuition.
Questions may be directed to the Freedom Cares Scholarship Committee Chair. The deadline for returning this application to the guidance office is Thursday, April 23, 2020. Please complete all sections of the application. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

1. Complete the application 2. Enclose Essay – On separate sheets of paper, write an essay while you were a Freedom High School student and why you were affected. Nowhere in the essay should your name be used or any identifying information. The essays will be judged separately and therefore must remain anonymous. Limit the essay to no more than 500 words, typewritten and double-spaced.
